Lamar Institute of Technology participates in the State's retirement pension plan, Teacher Retirement System (TRS). However, some employees (depending upon their classification) may choose to participate in TRS or the Optional Retirement Program (ORP). Regardless of which Â鶹ÊÓƵ retirement program is chosen, employees do have additional retirement savings opportunities through 457 and 403(b) accounts. See below for more details.
